Dr. Benton graduated from Louisiana State University and Louisiana State University Medical School - Shreveport. She completed her residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2004. Upon graduation, she joined OB/GYN Associates of Alabama.
Dr. Benton is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Jefferson County Medical Society. She is board certififed by the American Board of OB/GYN as of December 2007.
Dr. Benton is married to a Birmingham native; she and her husband are members of St. Francis Xavier. In her spare time, Dr. Benton enjoys running, scuba diving, reading, attending concerts, refinishing furniture, and home improvement projects.
